Building Opportunities
BOAB builds opportunities for Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders across Australia. Over the years we have created a strong partnership with the Byrnecut Group — one of the world’s leading underground mining contractors. This has given countless Indigenous people the opportunity to have a career in the resource sector. We collaborate with our employer partners to provide programs that give Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islander people the skills they need to fill vacant roles.
Promoting Career Pathways
Our comprehensive pre-employment programs ensure that our trainees are provided with the required skills, knowledge and experience to take on specific roles. BOAB works closely with employers to tailor programs that meet industry standards and thus preparing our trainees for their role as well as future opportunities.
Support & Mentorship
Mentorship is one of the cornerstones of BOAB. We understand the value that support has for our trainees and we ensure that we build a prospering relationship with them. Within the resource sector, it’s common to have a FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) lifestyle so we ensure that once they’re in the industry they have the guidance and foundation they need. Through mentorship and support, our trainees have flourished in their careers.
